If you are in the Davis area on June 22nd next weekend, visit the Juneteenth celebration at the Veterans' Memorial Center, see the details below. The event will be indoors this year out of the heat. I will be one of the vendors and will have my dolls and textile art available for sale.
The Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch of the Yolo County Library will co-host the celebration of Juneteenth in partnership with the Friends of the Davis Public Library, the City of Davis, Culture Co-op and others. The event will be held on Saturday, June 22, 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Veterans’ Memorial Center, located next door to the library at 14th and B Streets in Davis. This year’s event will feature a hat fashion show. Additional activities will also be held at the library, located at 314 East 14th Street.
