Finished Work In Progress
She's all done. I love the way she turned out. I may give her a prop or an accessory. I have to decide what it should be. She told me her name is Bahati which means lucky or fortunate.

Sleepy Goddess Dolls
Blue Goddess
This little sleepy doll has
a peaceful dreamy little
face. She comes with a
doll stand so that she
can be displayed on a
shelf or mantle or
she can be hung on
a wall or door or
she would also be
happy nestled among
the pillows on your
bed or sofa.she is
about 22" tall has
curly yarn hair and
a handpainted face.
Her skirt and bodice
are a pretty navy blue
and pastel Indonesian
batik and she wears a
bead necklace.
WORK IN PROGRESS
This is my current work in progress. I haven't done this doll design in several months and I forgot how much I love creating this style.
I think her little blouse should be shortened so that her skirt will hang better. It was almost half the length of the skirt which makes it look a little "bunchy". She will be one of my faceless dolls which are my most popular dolls. I think it's because they become more decorative and more of an art piece.
She will get more jewelry and her head will be wrapped in the beautiful blue fabric shown below.

This IsTanya

The inspiration for this group of dolls comes from my favorite artist Paul Nzalmaba.
She is a stump doll with a wooden base and stands about 22 inches tall. She wears a summery two piece strapless dress in a navy blue and yellow abstract print and a straw hat with a yellow bow. She is also wearing a blue and white bead necklace, gold bracelets and long curly hair.
